Dr Hugh Durkin

Dr. Hugh Durkin MB, BCH, BAO, DCH, LM, MICGP (Dublin 1973) graduated from University College Dublin in 1973. He founded the Tallaght Medical Centre in 1977 and has watched it grow and develop over the past 38 years. Dr Durkin enjoys all aspects of family medicine. He is a registered Specialist in the General Practitioner category of the Irish Medical Council and regularly attends international conferences on advances in medicine.

Dr. Thomas Field

Dr Tom Field MB, BCH, BAO, DCH, DO, FPC, MICGP, DSpMed (Dublin 1979) graduated from University College Dublin in 1979 and is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners.  Dr Field joined the practice in 1986. His main interests are family planning, minor surgery, cryotherapy and sports medicine.

Dr Laura Durkin

Dr. Laura Durkin MB, BCH, BAO, DCH, FPC, MICGP (Dublin 1999) graduated from University College Dublin in 1999. She joined the Tallaght Medical Centre in 2003. Her post graduate experience included working in Paediatrics in Tallaght Hospital and in the area of Gynaecology in the Mater Hospital. Dr Durkin enjoys all aspects of general practice but has a special interest in women's health and paediatrics. Dr Durkin also carries out a cosmetic dermatology clinic in the surgeries. She is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners in Ireland.   Dr Laura Durkin is a registered specialist in the General Practitioner category of the Irish Medical Council. She has attained additional qualifications in the areas of children's health and family planning.

Dr John Keane 

Dr. John Keane MB BAO BCH BE MSC MICGP graduated in medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Dr. Keane has also obtained degrees from University College Dublin and Trinity College Dublin. Prior to entering General Practice Dr. Keane worked in a variety of hospital fields including general medicine, emergency medicine, paediatrics, psychiatry, obstetrics, and gastroenterology. Dr. Keane is a registered specialist in the General Practitioner category of the Irish Medical Council and is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners.

Laura McCaffrey-Physician Associate

Laura McCaffrey PA-IC is a certified Physician Associate and joined the practice in 2019. Medically trained from the Royal College of Surgeons, Laura holds a MSc in Physician Associate studies. She also graduated from Queens University Belfast with a BSc in Biomedical Science in 2016. Laura’s training included general medicine and surgery across a number of different hospitals in Dublin.Laura has a special interest in chronic disease management, general medicine and women’s health. Laura is a founding board member of the Irish Society of Physician Associates (ISPA). 

Dr. Michelle Fahey

Dr Michelle Fahey MB BCH BAO MRCPI MICGP (Dublin 2002) graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2002. She is registered as a specialist in the General Practitioner category of the Irish Medical Council. Dr Fahey worked in a wide variety of hospital specialties for many years before pursuing her career in general practice. She has a special interest in women’s health and family planning.
